Our Identity Is Not Defined By What We Do
During this year, I’ve constantly battled with the thoughts of “I am not doing enough.” Seeing people around me walking through different season of life, whether it is marriage, kids, new job positions, it can definitely direct my thoughts towards comparison.
Many Transitions at a Time
At the beginning of the year, I was burying my feet in the sand beaches in Goa, India, to then squeeze through the crowded places of Hong Kong, to now flying all the way to the sunny state of Florida.
Pensamientos Sobre Mi Pais 🇻🇪
Ahora muchos alrededor del mundo saben el nombre de nuestro país. En las noticias se escuchan las tragedias y la desesperación, la crisis humanitaria, política y económica.
Thoughts of a TCK: “I don’t fit in anywhere”
I struggled so much with these words: I don’t fit anywhere. Growing up, I really never found a place or a group of people where I could say “Hey, I belong here.” At home, my parents raised me with Chinese cultural values, biblical values and as far as treating people nicely and with warmth, it was definitely Venezuelan.
Young Chinese Disciples in Venezuela
Sometimes it’s hard to dream because many say “there is no future in your country” but God is not limited in his plans for us!
Witnessing a Man’s Faith in Jesus
In February of 2019, God truly surprised me with the opportunity to go to India! It was so funny, I literally joked with God around two years before doing my DTS in Hong Kong.

Worship before evangelism is also key, to open the space for the Holy Spirit to prepare hearts and to guide us to the people God wants us to meet. I had never done evangelism this way before, I would just trust my own intuition and share the gospel, without really caring for the person’s story or background.
Nepali Food and Chai
The weekend of week 2 was so much fun! On Saturday, we journaled at local coffee shop, but it was way too loud. Too many kids around! At night, we took the girls to Mongkok to try some street food!
Taking Captive of My Thoughts
After a great weekend enjoying company with the girls and also sending off my mom at the bus stop at Tsim Sha Tsui, Jackie and I head back to the base for a new week. The topic for the week was “Worship, Intercession and Hearing God’s Voice.”
The Beginning of DTS in Hong Kong
One of Hong Kong’s strongest typhoon hit two days before I officially moved into YWAM Harbor City’s base. On Saturday, my leaders Cheryl and Barjona picked my sister and I at the apartment where I had been staying since July. We were able to get to know each other for a bit while bringing our luggages into the base. I met Ashley from Ohio, one of the DTS students.
